The beautiful Spanish hacienda architecture hints at the beauty that awaits.
“ Each suite is distinctively designed and decorated to recapture the simpler times of early California and each is named for a Napa Valley pioneer.”
With a love for the Napa Valley that stretches back three generations, the Komes family purchased Rancho Caymus in 1991, a quaint boutique hotel in an ideal wine country location.
Rancho Caymus Inn stands on land once awarded to pioneer George C. Yount as part of the Napa Valley’s first land grant. Today, the 26-suite inn provides guests an elegant retreat in the heart of the world famous Rutherford Bench wine country. Guests appreciate the property’s connection to its heritage expressed in the keen attention to detail in the Spanish hacienda’s architectural design, materials, and furnishings. Each suite is distinctively designed and decorated to recapture the simpler times of early California and each is named for a Napa Valley pioneer. Some names (like Black Bart and Robert Lewis Stevenson) are easily recognized, while others are not. Arriving guests are always delighted to learn the story of their pioneer that waits for them in their room.
Although history served as its inspiration, Rancho Caymus Inn provides all the comforts of a modern, first-class inn. The rooms are spacious, split-level suites with bright stucco walls, wrought iron light fixtures, and carved wood furniture. Each suite offers an inviting queen- or king-size bed, a 32-inch flat screen television, refrigerator, air conditioning, and free wireless access. A variety of suites are available, some with wood-burning fireplaces, window seats, and private outdoor sitting areas.
Such sumptuous suites make it tempting to just curl up with a good book or board game, but the innkeepers encourage guests to get out and explore the Napa Valley. After all, the inn is surrounded by dozens of world famous, award winning wineries and an abundance of natural beauty. Yet, at the end of the touring day, the inviting suites and charming garden courtyard of Rancho Caymus Inn beckon, and guests retreat to the sweet comforts of this delightful home away from home.
